I have been the curator/conservator of the Argus Museum since 2005. Cataloging and accessioning of artifacts, exhibit development, and implementation, and presentations are among my responsibilities. I host events and oversee marketing and promotion. Museum-related research has included primary and secondary sources, and oral histories to aid in the interpretation of artifacts, such as their role in WWII and the wartime personal stories of employees, Argus products as seen in period films, and Argus innovations and their role in the development of amateur photograph. Museum presentations include those given at a Michigan Museum Association conference and the annually at Argus Collectors Group Conference.

I have earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Master of Science degree in preservation, and have continued my education through conferences and workshops. Additionally, as an architectural historian/preservation planner, I meet the NPS 36 CFR 61 professional criteria set out in the Secretary of Interior’s Qualification Standards. As an artist and proprietor of a small business, I create, preserve and frame art and curate private collections.

The Membership and volunteer positions I hold include the National Trust for Historic Preservation, Michigan Historical Preservation Network, Association of Midwest Museums, Michigan Museum Association, Detroit Institute of the Arts, ArtServe Michigan, Art Alliance, Historical Society of Michigan, and the University of Michigan Collections Committee. I am also a member of Preservation Eastern, Brighton and Green Oak Township Historical Societies, Green Oak Township Historic District Study Committee (Chair), Green Oak Township Historic District Commission Association for Preservation Technology International (Eastern Great Lakes Chapter founding member), Friends of Island Lake State Recreation Area (Treasurer), and the Ann Arbor Rowing Club.

I enjoy travel and several outdoor activities including sculling, kayaking, swimming, fishing, skiing, snowshoeing, golfing and gardening.
