Hello, I have been contributing to wikipedia for years. I am interested in computers. More specifically: operating systems (mostly OpenBSD), html, wikitext, and of course wikipedia. Most of my early contributes were minor edits. Today I mostly work on userboxes and on Wikibooks. Wikibooks is sadly very outdated.

Fomitopsis quercina is a species of mushroom in the order Polyporales. Commonly known as the oak mazegill, among other names, its specific epithet refers to the oak genus Quercus, upon which it frequently grows, causing a brown rot. It is found in most of Europe, following the pattern of oak distribution, and has also been reported in northern Africa, North America, Asia and Australia. The mushroom features pores which form a maze-like appearance. Though inedible, it can be used as a natural comb and has been the subject of chemical research. This F. quercina mushroom was photographed growing on a tree branch at De Famberhorst, a nature reserve in the town of Joure in Friesland, Netherlands. How to easily recall a username

Trying to recall an editor's username can be challenging. There are various ways to solve this:

If you remember the beginning of the username:
1. Click on: user-contributions or contributions link either at the top or side of any article page
2. Type the first couple of letters in the username box: wait 15-seconds and the box will magically appear with usernames starting with that letter combination
3. If the username is still not there, type in another letter and wait. Usernames are case, punctuation, and space sensitive, so if a username is CamelCased, has punctuation, or has spaces, you will have to try those variations too.
If you have ever conversed with them, you could check the histories of your own talk page and talk page archives. Set your view to (500).
In your contributions, you could limit the namespace to user talk, and that would give you the names of all the users you have posted to on their talk pages. The same with the talk namespace (via your contributions).
You could also search the talk namespace for your own signature, to locate the threads where others may have replied to you
Where do they hang out? What are they renowned for? If you can remember where they have posted messages, then you can find their username.
