[edit]Occidental is the fourth-largest U.S. oil and gas company, based on a market capitalization of $66 billion at year-end 2009, up from $5 billion at the end of 1990.[1] From 2007 through 2009, Occidental shareholder returns averaged 20.6% a year, sixth among 200 major U.S. companies in a Wall Street Journal survey.[2]
