Hi there, I'm Claire. I am here to contribute to the ever-expanding web of knowledge Wikipedia. As a Journalism Masters student I used it as a quick source of knowledge to find out reliable facts about people, places and things. First I need to admit a COI; I have signed up initially (4th July 2011) to create a user page for an organisation that has been going since 1904, which I now work at. Using the same Open Access model that Wikipedia follows, my job will be editing a new journal which will be published online providing free and current science to users of the internet, worldwide (as opposed to the traditional print and subscription-based model). We have had some brilliant scientists who have volunteered for the organisation over the past 100 years and understand the importance of collaborating with other fields of science to improve research in this highly connected age of the internet. As well as the Sciences my interests lie firmly in the Arts, and I hope to be able to make valid contributions to any photography and arts based articles. CBethanH (talk) 12:08, 4 August 2011 (UTC)
