Bibliography
[edit]Edit this section to compile the bibliography for your Wikipedia assignment. Add the name and/or notes about what each source covers, then use the "Cite" button to generate the citation for that source.
Trott, Mike; Driscoll, Robin; Pardhan, Shahina (2022). "The prevalence of sensory changes in post-COVID syndrome: A systematic review and meta-analysis". [Frontiers in Medicine]. 9. doi:10.3389/fmed.2022.980253/full. [1] - Prefacing this article, almost all literature reviews and review articles about hypogeusia incorporate Covid-19 and other related symptoms. This review looks at patterns related to hypogeusia and the other symptoms that result from Covid-19. It is not highly conclusive, but there is information that could be integrated to the final Wikipedia page.
Pallanti, Stefano (2020-07). "Importance of SARs-Cov-2 anosmia: From phenomenology to neurobiology". [Comprehensive Psychiatry]. 100: 152184. doi:10.1016/j.comppsych.2020.152184. [2] - Covid-19 is the main focus of this literature review as well, but it delves into the symptoms stemming from Covid-19, including hypogeusia. It goes further and actually looks at the neurological and psychological affects that hypogeusia may have on individuals.
Xie, Deborah X.; Leland, Evelyn M.; Seal, Stella M.; Lin, Sandra Y.; Rowan, Nicholas R. (2021-03). "A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis of Taste Dysfunction in Chronic Rhinosinusitis". The Laryngoscope. 131 (3): 482–489. doi:10.1002/lary.28827 [3] - Review articles on hypogeusia are mostly tied to another underlying issue, disease, or symptom; this article is no exception. This article goes into how hypogeusia is connected to Chronic Rhinosinusitis, and admittedly, this may not be as strong as some of the other sources, but it is one of the more prominent literature reviews regarding hypogeusia.
Togni, Lucrezia; Mascitti, Marco; Vignini, Arianna; Alia, Sonila; Sartini, Davide; Barlattani, Alberta; Emanuelli, Monica; Santarelli, Andrea (2021-10). "Treatment-Related Dysgeusia in Oral and Oropharyngeal Cancer: A Comprehensive Review". Nutrients. 13 (10): 3325. doi:10.3390/nu13103325. [4] - This review article briefly touches on which specific taste sensations are affected by hypogeusia. However, hypogeusia is barely mentioned at all besides a couple sentences, so this may not be the best source for the Wikipedia page.

Outline of proposed changes
[edit]Click on the edit button to draft your outline.
Now that you have compiled a bibliography, it's time to plan out how you'll improve your assigned article.
In this section, write up a concise outline of how the sources you've identified will add relevant information to your chosen article. Be sure to discuss what content gap your additions tackle and how these additions will improve the article's quality. Consider other changes you'll make to the article, including possible deletions of irrelevant, outdated, or incorrect information, restructuring of the article to improve its readability or any other change you plan on making. This is your chance to really think about how your proposed additions will improve your chosen article and to vet your sources even further. Note: This is not a draft. This is an outline/plan where you can think about how the sources you've identified will fill in a content gap. |
