In the Beginning there was darkness and God said, "let there be light" and so it was done and light appeared. And they were pleased with what they had done.

But one of them said, "Now that we have created a "contrast" between things let us create good acts and evil acts. And they were again pleased with what they had done.

But one of them said, "Now that we have created good and evil, all is not balanced so let us create Left and Right". But they were not pleased with what they had done.

In the Middle, Left and Right fought over Power. Left wanted Light. Right wanted Darkness. The battle raged for decades. No one was pleased with what was being done.

A scoundrel rose on the Right, selling snake oil and despair. His victory was a loss for all. A cult arose that he lied to endlessly. The Left was not pleased with what was being done.

The scoundrel wanted to be King. His High Court deemed him "above all others in matters of Law and Truth". The Left was not pleased with what was being done.

The leader of the Left was a good, solid, but old, family man. The scoundrel attacked him with scorn and derision day after day. A contest was held to determine who would Rule. The old man won and everyone was pleased.
