Andy Kaufman Syndrome is a phase first coined in 2004 by Texas Artist/ Art instructor Kyle Garrett. Refering to inside jokes, Andy Kaufman Syndrome refers to a person who tends to tell jokes that are only funny within a close circle of friends.
