Construction

The Wellness Centre was made from a $3.5 million gift [2] and was opened in the summer of 2013. It contains 4,000 square feet of exerciser equipment. This building is connected to the Gymnasium. The connected Gymnasium is 16,800 square feet and has 864 bleacher seats, the Gymnasium contains a gym floor, Running corridor and Cardio Loft.[3]

Fitness classes

The University of British Columbia (Okanagan Campus)[4] has a number of fitness based classes. Some of which include Kickboxing, Yoga, and boot camp activity's[5]. Most activity's are less than 1 hour long and are tough by a variety of instructors. Work outs are also available online with live streaming.[6]

Personal training

Personalized training is also available to those who would like to have a new routine.[7] There are 4 packages that allow students to choose a level of intensity and duration ranging from single session to long 4-8 week plans. Many students use the Fitness facility's to train for sport events or to build muscle.
