About me

[edit]

My hobbies include, drawing, writing, and listening to music. My favorite artist to listen to is Lana Del Rey! I love to write poetry in my free time or draw what I hear in a song. I think drawing is really spectacular as it can help your memory! [1]

My Wikipedia interests

[edit]

I like to use Wikipedia to learn new things about poets that I like or musicians I listen to. I'm hoping to use this and provide more information on some things I may write about or add information to past paragraphs/articles that I think are helpful.

Article Evaluation

[edit]

Terrence Loves You is one of my favorite songs by Lana Del Rey. The story behind the song is the main reason why I love it so much. I do also really love and appreciate the instruments and the "dreamy" sounding vocals that go with it. I visited the article "Terrence Loves You" on Wikipedia, and found three aspects of it worth commenting on: Is anything left out of the article that should be there? Are any of the links dead? Are the citations as current as possible?

Is anything left out of the article that should be there?

I think the meaning/story of the song should be put in the article. It only mentions how David Bowie's "Space Oddity" plays a snippet in the end but doesn't talk about the story of David Bowie's brother, Terry Burns (Terrence). "David has fame, friendship, while Terry is unstable and alone. David has the world, but Terry has nobody—not even his family."[2] It also is about Lana's past relationships and how it has affected her mentally etc. "When Lana hears her ex’s tunes, possibly those of her ex-boyfriend musician Barrie O'Neill, she loses control, and drink into a stupor as she’s reminded of what once was."[3]

Are any of the links dead?

All links work except for one. The link that did not work was supposed to go to her album on Itunes but was not available.[4]

Are the citations as current as possible?

This song was made in 2015, so there is not any new information about the song or album. The Lana Del Rey and David Bowie citations are as current as possible, same for the "Honeymoon" and the "Vevo" channel citations.

All in all,

The article was pretty well written with few to none errors. I would have liked to see the backstory of the song written about and her thoughts about it as there is alot of articles about what she meant with her lyrics.
