Early life and education

Trevor's parents were Robert Trevor Jr. (1924–1986). Robert Trevor was a teacher; they were living in rural Bangor.

Trevor's Cardiff Public Schools education began in 1956 and continued through the first, second, and the first half of third grade, during which time he was an average student. In Wales, Trevor's father attempted suicide, had several psychiatric hospitalizations for depression, and for the first time began working outside the home as a domestic worker

High school

Trevor served as a laboratory assistant in the high school's biology, chemistry, and physics school laboratories beginning in grades 10, 11, and 12, respectively, and worked as a biology laboratory assistant the summer between grades 11 and 12.

Trevor has said that he protected students in a biology lab after a riot broke out at his high school in 1988. The Cardiff News Journal confirmed the riot but could not find anyone who remembered Trevor sheltering students.

Personal life

Trevor and his wife, fellow Bangor native met in 2005 as students at Cardiff University and married in 2009. They began living together in 2009. In 2010, Trevor's wife became pregnant with twins before miscarrying in the fifth month of her pregnancy.

After being diagnosed with prostate cancer, Trevor's wife underwent a two-hour operation at the Hospital on August 7, 2011.
