About me

[edit]
UTC+7This user's time zone is UTC+7.
Bismabrj has been active on Wikipedia for 4 years, 6 months and 9 days.

You can call me Bisma.

To see my appearances on other Wikimedia projects, check out my global userpage on Wikimedia Meta-Wiki.

Notably, I am also on Wiktionary. I am sometimes more active on Wiktionary (as an editor) and sometimes more active here (though I tend to be more active on Wiktionary). Either way, I occasionally edit here whenever I'm reading an article and notice something that I can add to.

I am also on Indonesian Wikipedia as well, though at the moment I rarely edit there.

As the above school userbox states, I am a school student. As long as I'm not currently on a long holiday, I'm taking a "wikibreak" in the sense that I'm taking a break from going all-out editing on wikis every single day (though, as the above userbox states, I may occasionally edit every now and then). Either way, overall I'm not actually very active on Wikipedia (and Wiktionary) as an editor, and there isn't really any preferred day for me getting on Wikipedia. If you wish to reach out to me via my talk page, reach out whenever and there's no need to wait until I'm on a holiday. I hope to respond as soon as possible to queries (but then again, no guarantees that I'll respond quickly).

Unresolved "issues" I wish to deal with

[edit]

Despite how short the description for each subsection below may be, these are actually quite serious in my opinion, or at least aren't trivial. More importantly, resolving them will (in my opinion) likely require discussion and a consensus to be reached.

"Sturges' rule", , on the Frequency distribution article

[edit]

I'd like to elaborate on this later. For now, you can see the discussion I've started on the article's talk page.

Clarifying that Taman Siswa is (also) a school

[edit]

This stub has only mentioned Taman Siswa as a movement, and hasn't mentioned the name of the school built under that movement (National Onderwijs Institut Taman Siswa), unlike the Indonesian version of the page. The name of the school also speaks for itself, that the term "Taman Siswa" can also specifically refer to the school itself instead of the movement. Once I have enough time to spare, I wish to add information about this, alongside improving the article so that it will no longer be a stub.

I haven't started a discussion on its talk page about this, though. I wish to soon, when I get the time to.

To-do list (aside from the "issues" mentioned above)

[edit]

Below are a "list" of things I wish to do that are relatively minor compared to the "issues" mentioned above, in that the to-do list consists of things that I can just do on my own without having to discuss with others, since they are relatively trivial anyway and are not controversial.

Updating outdated references on the Yos Sudarso page

[edit]

I've found [1] for the first reference, the first reference being:

Platje, Wies (Spring 2001). "Dutch Sigint and the Conflict with Indonesia, 1950–1962" (PDF). Intelligence & National Security. 16 (1): 304. Retrieved 20 November 2008.

and the archive of the second reference exists: [2]

the second reference being:

Rob Bruins Slot and Gerda Jansen Hendriks, 50 years after the Battle of Vlakke Hoek. Near-war with Indonesia about New Guinea, at www.geschiedenis24.nl (in Dutch)

I wish to update the outdated references soon.

Adding Javanese "dh" and "th" in the list of Latin-script digraphs

[edit]

Javanese written in Latin script has "dh" to represent the voiceless retroflex plosive and "th" to represent the voiced retroflex plosive. This information is not yet in that article, and I wish to add them, though I'm not sure how.

Improving the grammar in the Statistics Indonesia article

[edit]

Nothing to say here. Just gotta get to improving the grammar in that article, once I have the time to.
