The Journal of Electrical Bioimpedance (JEB) was established in 2010 by the Oslo Bioimpedance Group and is published by the University of Oslo Library. JEB is an open access journal where authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.

JEB is based on the framework of the Open Journal Systems (OJS) and accepts reviews, articles and educational material within all aspects of bioimpedance science. The field of bioimpedance is highly cross-disciplinary and based upon physics, engineering, medicine, chemistry, material science, mathematics, computer science and more [1].

Bioimpedance has important transducing properties and can be used in a wide variety of sensor systems [2]. Research within bioimpedance has for the last few decades been divided between the more traditional electrical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and the newer activities on electrical impedance tomography (EIT) [2]. All aspects of bioimpedance are represented in JEB.

JEB is currently abstracted/indexed in Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), Google Scholar, Index Copernicus, JournalTOCs and Open J-Gate. Index Copernicus awarded JEB with an IC value of 5.67 for the year 2010 [3].
