PinPointsX® is a patent-pending geo-social network for matchmaking and dating. It consists of a website and phone application, supporting iPhone, iPod Touch, iPhone and Android devices. PinPointsX® provides members with a map of their location to find people to meet and hookup with, and also locates business establishments withing the adult scene.
Overview
[edit]PinPointsX® was founded by Ronen Gabbay and launched in April 2010 in the U.S. The platform uses communication between mobile-to-mobile, mobile-to-web, web-to-mobile and web-to-web. The website and app both contain a map of your exact location, whether configured manually or using GPS location.
Various icons appear on the map to signify where other users are located. Each icon represents sexual orientation and marital status and can be clicked on to view the member's profile. Other features include calls between users, messages, picture gallery ranking system, forums and blogs. Users have the option of setting location using GPS technology or manually inserting an address. Resources include private members, who are users engaged in the network, and business members such as bars, clubs, restaurants, hotels, etc. represented on the map.
Points & Badges
[edit]PinPointsX® have incorporated a point-system to their platform so users can receive points and badges for every activity executed. Members receive points for uploading a picture, adding a fling, messaging a user, and so forth. If points are accumulating for a particular activity, the user receives a badge. The member with the most points at the end of the month wins a prize. The top 20 list can be viewed with how many points each member accumulated in total and for that particular month.
PPX to-go™
[edit]PPX to-go™ is PinPointsX's mobile app for Apple and Android devices. The application uses position technologies such as GPS, Wi-Fi, CellID and intuitive positioning to enable real-time management and allows for filtering, prioritization, mapping and interaction between the resources. When choosing to set location using GPS, the satellite transmits signals which a receiver determines as the coordinates of the object's location. Location can be set manually, automatically, or using the default location.
