Jane Foster

Jane Foster one of the first women in Canada qualified to fly the CF-18 and one of only two women in the world to be a fighter pilot in an operational squadron. Canada was one of the first Nations to allow women to fly in a combative role since World War Two.

In June 1989, after Foster and Major Deanna Brasseur's year-long training on C-5 and C-18 jet fighter aircrafts, they became the only women in the world flying fighters in functional squadrons.
