David Puth is an investment banker who has worked in New York City and Boston.

Career History

From mid-2008 through 2011 Mr. Puth was a senior executive at State Street Bank in Boston where he was a member of the company’s twelve person Management Committee and responsible for State Street’s Global Markets division.[1][2] Prior to joining State Street in August of 2008 Mr. Puth founded The Eriska Group, a risk management consulting firm based in New York.[3] In January of 2007 Mr. Puth retired from JPMorgan Chase after working at the company for nineteen years; at the time of his departure, Mr. Puth was overseeing the company’s Global Emerging Markets, Currency and Commodities divisions and was a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and the Investment Bank Management Group.[4]

Mr. Puth served for twelve years on the Federal Reserve Foreign Exchange Committee which he chaired from 1999-2002.[5] He has also served as an outside director of ICAP, a global financial services brokerage company, and as an outside director of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.[6]

Work with Robin Hood

Mr. Puth has served since 1998 as a board member of the Robin Hood Foundation, an innovative organization committed to fighting poverty in New York City.[7] At Robin Hood he has served as Vice Chair of the board and is the head of the board’s Audit Committee.[8]

Other Charitable Work

He was a founding board member and continues to serve on the board of the Institute for Global Leadership at Tufts University.[9] Mr. Puth is a trustee of the Berkshire School, a boarding school in Sheffield, Massachusetts and also oversees the school’s Endowment Committee. Mr. Puth is a member of the board of the Institute for Contemporary Art in Boston, a major cultural institution and the country’s oldest museum of contemporary art.[10]
