Basic Information

[edit]

Applied Mathematics student, father of a one year old, and new to Wikipedia.

Academic

[edit]

I'm a PhD student at Arizona State University in the Applied Math for the Life and Social Sciences program. My Co-Advisers are Carlos Castillo-Chavez and David E. Hiebeler. My current dissertation work is in some generalizations of dynamic network construction with a special affinity with mathematical pair formation models. Previous work has included mathematical epidemiology, pair approximation, and simulation.

Goals on Wikipedia

[edit]

I mostly want to work with math/ math-bio pages and professor pages (of course trying to stick with zero point of view material).

New Pages

[edit]

I've recently written a preliminary biographical page for Joseph Lawson Hodges, Jr.

I intend on authoring a page about mathematical pair formation.

Additions to Pages

[edit]

I plan on adding the non-identically distributed case to the Irwin-Hall distribution page. The one I will add there will be of the form that I derived actually using a few Wikipedia pages as reference.

Also, the emphasis on as one of the only quantities that we can calculate is depressing. I intend on putting in a little bit with regards to final epidemic size calculations.
