Griffin Unsworth is a fictional character and the protagonist of the fictitious sitcom Cat on the Roof. He would often than not be the center of the plot of a hypothetical regular episode of the show. As a self-proclaimed gamer from episode 1, his appearance in his early teen years could be characterized by his rectangular semi-rimmed glasses, brown spiky hair and eccentric fashion choices like two shirts under a shirt (when he's not wearing a signature orange hoodie). In addition, other characters in the ensemble cast would point to and laugh at other social unconventionalities like his "obsession" with Japanese culture for a white guy, mindless walking, and lack of attentiveness. This and stereotyping has resulted in a lot of misunderstandings of his true personality and intentions that are commonplace on the show, to the point where he sometimes feels anxious inside. He uses video games as an escapism for his family problems—his dad Tucker sadly isn't helpful enough for him.

However, as the series went on, his casual sense of styling matured in a way that audiences would have been able to take seriously. By age 16, he gained self-confidence and fully embraced his inner weebness. (Full article...)
