Driftwud (Bengali Rock Band)

Driftwud (pronounced as "Driftwood") is a bengali modern alternative rock band formed in early 2000 in the city of Kolkata,India. The band also have an album named as "Shunno" which was released digitally and also in boxed CD audio format. The band draws major inluence from modern alternative bands like U2 & Oasis in their sound. The band was initially formed with 4 members Rajarshi Roy, Milton Biswas, Abhishu Rakshit and Kaustav Bhattacharya and later on many key musicians like Arnab Sen, Premjit Dutta, Avik Sen and Shubho joined in the later stages. Initially the band was called "Neon Highway" and changed the name to "Driftwud" post Abhishu's arrival. The album is available in itunes, spotify and all the major streaming sites. The physical copy was released by Kaleidoscope records in the year 2012.
