Carlos Alberto “Bebe” Alvarado Carlos Alberto Alvarado, also know as “Bebe” or “Los” to family and friends, was born in Cúcuta, Colombia on October 12, 1977. His mother is Maria Lourdes Forero Aranguren. They moved to Washington Heights, NYC when Carlos was two years old. Carlos loved his friends growing up - those in his neighborhood and at school, Central Park East I and CPESS. Carlos briefly went to college for architecture. He loved the juxtaposition of the tall NYC buildings and the sky. Carlos was a proud union man, for 20 years with 32BJ SEIU. He fell in love with Aurora Nonas-Barnes and together they created a family with their two sons, Otis and Ozzy. Carlos was a loving and hard working man. He was an essential worker during the 2020 Global Covid Pandemic. In 2021, he was diagnosed with stomach cancer at stage 4. He succumbed to the disease in 2022. Carlos “Bebe” Alvarado was here. His legacy will live on through his wife and sons.
