Marley Joseph Tavaziva (born 17 December 2004) is an English professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Premier League club Brentford.
Tavaziva is a product of the Brentford Elite Development Education Football Programme and began his professional career with the club's B team.
Club career
[edit]Youth years
[edit]A goalkeeper, Tavaziva began his youth career with spells at Little Kickerz, Hampton & Richmond Borough and Sutton United.[2] He progressed through the Brentford Elite Development Education Football Programme to make six National Youth League South Premier Division appearances for the Brentford CST team during the 2021–22 season.[3][4] He signed a two-year scholarship with the club's B team on 31 August 2022 and played concurrently for the club's U18 team during the 2022–23 and 2023–24 seasons.[3][5][6][7] At the end of the 2023-24 season, the club exercised its option to extend Tavaziva's scholarship by a further year.[8] In July 2024, he signed a one-year professional contract.[9]
International career
[edit]In November 2023, Tavaziva was named in the provisional Zimbabwe squad for its opening 2026 World Cup qualifiers,[10] but he was not named in the final selection due to injury.[11] He was an unused substitute in five matches during the remainder of the 2023-24 season.[12][13][14][15]
2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers September/October 2024 four matches unused.[15]

[edit]Tavaziva is of Zimbabwean descent.[16] He attended Halliford School.[17]
