Bill Averbach Born March 18, 1953 in Philadelphia Composer, Trumpet player, Vocalist Moved to Texas in 1977 where he formed the Austin Klezmorim in 1979. He has composed Jazz, Klezmer, and Contemporary music as well as music for films and stage productions. He has recorded for many songwriters including Butch Hancock and Alejandro Escovedo. His contribution to modern klezmer is his fusion of the traditional klezmer with jazz and Texas culture through his original compositions recorded in 2005 by the Austin Klezmorim - Bubba's Waltz, and the Dutch klezmer group Klezmokum.
