Ecclesia Athletic Association - I knew nothing about this prior to stumbling across it on PMC's create list. It was a fascinating and incredibly disturbing subject to work on. The EAA received lots of press in the 1980s but has largely been forgotten about now and I am proud to have created an encyclopedic record of its activities.
The Hate U Give - I am proud of the plot summary which economically tells the main events of the story and also obviates the need for a character section. I also have worked hard to incorporate a wide variety of sources to cover the full breadth of the book, audio book, and, in summary form, the movie.
... that Derrick Barnes based the main character of Crown: An Ode to the Fresh Cut on his own son? Note: This is what appeared on the main page and is factually incorrect (shame on you TRM for not catching it). The DYK as nominated, which is factually correct, said "... that the narrator and main character of Crown: An Ode to the Fresh Cut is the author's son?" because it was the illustrator, Gordon C. James not the author (Barnes) who based it on Barnes' son.
... that in 1991, the founder of Ecclesia Athletic Association and seven other members were indicted for what a federal prosecutor termed "the largest child slavery ring in the history of the United States"?
... that drug users doing the Florida shuffle move between multiple rehab centers so that each center may bill the user's insurance company as much as $40,000?
