Barbara Spring is the author of The Dynamic Great Lakes, a critically acclaimed book about the ever changing ecosystems of the five Great Lakes and their connecting waters.

She is also the author of two poetry books: The Wilderness Within and Sophia's Lost and Found: Poems of Above and Below

Barbara Spring, a retired professor from Grand Valley State University, is active in the environmental movement and has contributed articles to The Grand Rapids Press, Michigan Out of Doors, Michigan Magazine, Field & Stream, and many others.
