User:BRO MarkS

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hello, my name's Mark.

I am a paid employee of the Bristol Archives (BA) in the UK, a local authority archive which preserves and makes available records of local and national importance. We are working to make our holdings more accessible to the public by engaging directly with Wikipedia.

Conflict of interest statement

When I am editing Wikipedia as part of my professional duties, I always strive to strictly abide by Wikipedia's accepted practices on conflicts of interest, neutrality, and notability. Because BA's policies are in line with Wikipedia's mission to disseminate knowledge freely, I will not make edits that I do not believe are in accordance with Wikipedia's practices and procedures. Therefore, I will not make substantive edits to articles related to BA, or its personnel. Instead, if I edit articles, it will be to contribute subject matter expertise to improve articles about BA holdings (e.g. The John Horwood book), as well as to share information about the availability of material held at archive repositories.

If you believe I have made an error or violated Wikipedia’s norms, please do not hesitate to contact me. The BRO website is listed below.
