Sandbox is just like any other page on wikipedia, except for the fact that it belongs to you.You can play around with the wikipedia syntax in your sandbox. Before editing on the main article, you must first practice in your sandbox.

Just put the template {{My Sandbox}} on your user page.

Save your user page.Then click on the link to your sandbox and start practicing over there.

You must get your content in the sandbox verified from someone and only then move it to the main article space.

Why is this required?

• If you are starting with a new article and if you directly put it up in the main space, there is a chance that your article may be nominated for speedy deletion due to inadequate content/references.

• Putting your content in the sandbox will make the job of the CA's/faculty easier in reviewing your article.
