Ian McWhirter

Electronics graduate at the University of Kent at Canterbury (UKC). Founder of Audio Eliot in 1967 - a system of broadcasting audio through the radiators, which, together with Audio Rutherford, was the predecessor of UKC Radio.

Subsequently specialised in electro-optics and optical instrumentation. Currently working at University College London in Upper Atmospheric research in the Arctic.
