History-Paleolithic Age

The history of health can be determined in various ways. It is said that the idea of health was created about ten thousand years ago. This was when people were known as hunter and gatherers. Health was based on religious beliefs rather than science. This meant that these people believed that all these diseases/sickness were sent by Zeus. It was later on discovered that these diseases may have not been sent by these gods. The Hippocratic Corpus came into play and made people realize that it was an imbalance of man with the environment. Health was depended on the balance of fluids, an example being blood.This changed the perspective of these people and even created the possibilities of new medicine to treat it. Overall, the history of health all began with these hunters and gathers, who were able to overcome these diseases with the help of the Hippocratic Corpus.
