Aeroflot Flight 53A was an aviation accident that occurred on July 15, 1975 near Kransnovodsk Airport when a Yakovlev Yak-40 stalled after a microburst and crashed 4,700 meters behind the runway threshold. 23 out of the 38 occupants were killed.
