About Andy Lambert FIVR

[edit]

Hi that is me in the picture on the right with my Classic Militant Recovery Vehicle and two of her friends F1 legends Murray Walker and John Watson

I am in my early seventies and 'sort of' retired. I would be fully retired where it not for my fellow Trustees in RISC UK the Recovery Industry Support Charity. They seem to think that after 50 years in the industry I can still contribute something!

What have I done in my life? Well apart from creating two daughters, for which I doubt the world will forgive me. I started the National Rescue Group in the seventies and was the driving force behind Turbo Dispatch. I also was also involved in the recovery of the vast majority of the major exhibits at Brooklands Museum

The only real qualifications I hold are my Amateur Radio License G8HER obtained in 1972 and a fellowship bestowed on me by the Institute of Vehicle Recovery, who again think I contributed something to the industry.

I was introduced to the world of Wikipedia by a very clever man called Stuart Johnson, who I had the pleasure of working with for a number of years. It is only now that I have some time, that I am coming to grips with it. It is not always too easy for a lad who got 20 out of 100 for grammar and cannot spell without a word processor. If you want to contact me I am here.
