Summary of characteristics of target article

[edit]

In this Wikipedia project, we aim to develop an article of stub quality to create an article with quality of around B (B-Category) and GA (Good Article). This means that the article in target should be pretty comprehensive and mostly complete on the given topic. It should not have major problems, and the readers will be answered with most questions. Ideally, the article should approach the standard of encyclopedia by giving almost all readers with all the answers.

Citation Practice

[edit]

A growing body of scientificl literature supports that a practice of mindfulness meditation alters neural, behavioral, and biochemical processes of the body.[1] One of the studies shows that rapid changes in histone deacetylases and inflammatory gene expression occured in expert meditators compared to the control group and this indicates that the regulation of HDACs and inflammatory pathways may be some of the mechanisms underlying the therapeutic effects of mindfulness meditatoin. [2] Also, a different study supports that meditation leads to altered states of consciousness by showing that subjects with 12 weeks of meditation showed altered sense of time, space, and body accompanied by change in bodily processing measured by MEG.
