Mikelangelo and the Black Sea Gentlemen are an Australian Dark cabaret act.
Consisting of Accordion (Guido Libido), Violin (Rufino), Clarinet (Muldavio), Double bass (Little Ivan) and Acoustic guitar (Mikelangelo), they are inspired by Balkan gypsy bands of the early 20th century.
Lyrically, they are know for the use of black comedy exploring subjects such as death, desire, deception and abandonment.
