Account name is a nom de plum which combines the first name of historian Alistair Horne with the surname of David Ray Griffin.

I found Horne's work "A Savage War of Peace" about the Algerian War of Independence helpful because it revealed that the late President Kennedy was an outspoken supporter of the Algerian fight for independence against its French colonial rulers as a Senator in the 1950s. Before he was elected President, Kennedy succeeded in changing US policy from support of French colonial rule to neutrality. After her was inaugurated as President in 1961, he changed US policy to one of support for Algerian Independence.
