Activism toward the right to water or water justice can be coined as a movement in the United States toward accessible clean water to every individual. The clean water issues in Flint, Michigan and the Standing Rock Indian Reservation have acted as catalysts toward new clean water movements. These movements coincide with environmental activism and connect with capitalism's role in the environment.
