Subject: Australian Research Council Journal Rankings
Dear colleagues,
The following links will take you to the current list of journal rankings as published by ARC. There are two lists: the journal_title_list is the main list; the journal_title_list_change is the supplementary list. http://www.arc.gov.au/xls/ERA2010_journal_title_list.xls

The lists are in excel spreadsheets, so you can sort them to identify fields of study. Numbers for fields of study that are probably the most obvious for those teaching at theological and bible colleges are: 2204 Religion and Religious Studies; 2002 Cultural Studies; 2203 Philosophy; 1701 Psychology; 2103 Historical Studies; 2101 Archaeology; 13 Education; 1302 Curriculum and Pedagogy; 1601 Anthropology.
Please keep in mind that only by having journal articles published in journals on these lists will the article be recognised as peer reviewed and count for HERDC points. It is important that when you plan to have an article published that you seek to have it published in the highest ranked journal in your field as possible (A* is the highest ranking).
I will upload the excel spreadsheets on the ACT website in the Postgraduate Resources section.
