Brighton Malayalee Association (BMA)

[edit]Brighton Malayalee association is an association of Malayalee (Known as ‘’ people from Kerala’’ state India) BMA was found on 10th of April 2010 and it was the first Malayalee association in Brighton, United Kingdom ,when it was formed.
The First Committee of the Association was selected by the General body and they are ,Sree Ram Pillai (President) Ajex John (Vice President) Rajesh Nair (Secretary)and the following as committe members Dinu Baby, Tinu P Jose,Axija Charles,Geeta Hari,Viji George Hari Kumar ( Treasurer) and Jacob Stephen.
The association’s main aim is to improve the quality of its members life by organizing family get-togethers, cultural and sport events, family outings and celebrating our traditional festivals from Kerala.
The following are the main objectives of Brighton Malayalee association
To look into the interests of the Malayalee community in Brighton and adjacent areas and promote their cultural and artistic values. To foster friendship with other communities, exchange and share ideas and beliefs with them and enhance quality of life. To promote its indigenous cultural values. To provide the community members with an opportunity to meet, discuss and promote Malayalam language and culture.
