Kami Paul [1] is the lead drummer and one of the lead members of the band “Mughal-E-Funk [2]” Currently a full time drummer for Noori although he works as a free lance session player and working on his own project with Rakae Jamil. He has worked with giants of the industry. Kami Paul began his musical journey as a Gospel musician at a very young age, through multiple percussions and lending his vocals to sing in the Gospel choir. He started playing drums at the age of 13 and never looked back. His main influences in music were his father (Robin Paul) and (Joel Paul) and later his mentor, Aurangzeb Hassan Ali Pirzada. During his tenure with Mekaal Hasan Band, he performed on both domestic and international stages, providing him with the exposure which has brought him to where he is today. He has additionally performed with notable musicians and bands like Raga Boys, Zeb and Haniya, Noori and Jimmy Khan to name a few.
