Lost Cities in Destiny 2
[edit]In Destiny 2 there are many people who overlook the lost city aspect and many who really like and enjoy the theme of lost cities in this game. This game has many lost cities that were once thriving so much that Earth was not big enough for all the people anymore. There was a technology that was developed that led people to be able to move and inhabit other planets in our solar system over 100 years ago. There are a total of eight planets and moons that the human race has made inhabitable. All eight of the planets and moons that have become inhabitable in this game have something special and all of them are different. All of these planets had thriving ecosystems as well as a lot of diversity, but all of these cities collapsed when four alien races invaded our solar system. These aliens were very intellectual and a lot of them have similar qualities to humans.
Clovis Bray
[edit]Most of the lost cities do not have specific names, but there is always one person whose name is everywhere among these cities "Clovis Bray". Clovis Bray in this game is the smartest person in the world and would be similar to someone like Albers Einstein, Stephen Hawking, Etc. The main importance of this man is that he figured out a way to create eternal life, as well as many other phenomenal discoveries, one of which was a super-powerful AI type weapon call "Warmind" that could destroy even planets if it fell into the wrong hands. Another one of these discoveries was a Gate/Portal to another star system that was billions of years old, and there was tech there keeping a Blue Star from exploding. Clovis Bray created robot-like people and was considered a hero among humans, but all Exos hated this man. It is said that unimaginable pain came from transferring human consciousness into the Exo machine, and most of these Exos were not given a choice on how to live their life and mostly became human weapons. In the game, it is still currently unknown how exactly to make an Exo, but the lost city where Clovis Bray is located is slowly revealing details on how Exos were made. In the game, the alien races that invaded all these planets and moons have actually built their own home and bases from the remnants of the fallen cities.
Cities on Europa
[edit]The most eye-catching and spectacular lost city in this game had to be on the moon Europa. On average this moon is at its warmest, -260 degrees Fahrenheit. This means there were people living on this planet in extreme cold and somehow they still found a way to build up cities and factories despite the deathly cold temperatures. (There has been oxygen that was found on this planet in real life so someday it might be actually possible for people to move there). The names of the cities on this planet are unknown, but they are really huge. There is an activity in this game called the "Deep Stone Crypt", and in this activity, you can see all of the remnants of the city that once thrived. On Europa was the creation of a new life form called "Exos". Exos were a robot-like life form that was created by transferring human consciousness into the Exo body. This information about these immortal beings that were once human came from a lost city and facility on Europa.
Cities on Venus
[edit]Now, on Venus, there were many cities and here they were mainly formed by a group called the "Ishtar Collective", which was a group that was rivals with Clovis Bray in the past. The cities on Venus are huge and all of them have been collapsed to the point where nobody lives there anymore. In fact, most of these Planets have been become deserted ever since the alien races invaded our solar system. In this game, humanity is on the verge of extinction, as there is only one city left on earth that is inhabited. The people in this city are protected by the guardians who people play as. The last city is surrounded by a huge wall that was built to block alien forces from getting in, and there are torrents all around the walls preventing alien ships to enter the city.
Cities in Russia
[edit]There are numerous lost cities surrounding this place which is in Russia. The guardians protecting the last city are also searching for answers about the lost cities and how they collapsed. There are many artifacts that give clues about the type of people and technology the once-thriving cities had.
Cities on Titan
[edit]There is a lost city on the moon "Titan" where the city called "New Pacific Archology" there was so advanced, they found a way to create a dock that was also like a dome type structure that was above all the water on titan. This lost city also had a huge garden that could possibly be the size of Central Park in New York City.
The Vex and the Darkness
[edit]There are four different races of aliens that have invaded and the most advanced of these aliens are the Vex.The Vex have literally been around since the beginning of time, and have found a way to teleport themselves anywhere in the universe that denies all logic. The Vex went to Venus and took over the collapsed cities and became to create a portal to bring one of their gods to our solar system. Now, the whole reason the Vex were able to invade, and why all these cities fell was the work of the "Darkness" that traveled to our solar system in search of its enemy that is called the "Traveler". The Darkness killed everyone and everything in its path and that is what led to the fall of this period and created so many cities that are now abandoned and waiting to be explored.
