Need information about compatibilities or incompatibilities between the benefits of various cover crops and companion crops and the beneficial soil micro-organisms such as those in the "Pfeiffer Formula Bio-Dynamic Compost Starter" that I have used successfully since 1975. The Pfeiffer Formula seems to do nitrogen fixation pretty well, but I have no idea whether adding hairy vetch or a clover will work synergisticly with the micro-organisms that fixate nitrogen or if the two approaches would fight with each other. Have similar concerns for the micro-organisms that combat certain soil borne harmful fungae.
