"This is the third in a series about children's book illustrators, who present reflections on their life and their art in words and pictures. In a conversational, yet frequently eloquent fashion, Trina Schart Hyman guides the reader through the various ups and downs of her personal and professional life. A speculative tone is evident throughout, generated by a thoughtful sensitivity that stops short of inte nsity or self-indulgence"[1]
