Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! HagermanBot 04:06, 1 April 2007 (UTC)

I noticed your interest in natural history on your user page - you might be interested in the http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Council/Proposals#Environmental_history%7Cproposal for a WikiProject Environmental history]]. I'd appreciate it if you gave it a look and left any comments you might have.

Multilateral Agreement on Investment

[edit]

Hi. My problem with the article is that its not encyclopedic and is styled more like an essay with a very distinct POV. I am right now studying International Political Economy at the London School of Economics so we've covered this (along with many of the topics of the WTO negotiation rounds). I'll put some specific examples in the talk page. Charles HP 08:15, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

Great! I spent a lot of time studying the MAI when it was around (and, yes, taking a POV and plenty of pot-shots at it). Problem is that the official sources were very furtive--and they've now gone underground altogether since the OECD dropped its plans. Maybe the answer is to keep the article very brief and present the pro and anti views simply and baldly. Truth is probably that, without participation of all WTO countries, an elitist pact was never going to work for long. Cheers Aeronian 14:37, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

Hello, I have started working on the MAI article, adding some sources and very slowly making changes. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts here or on the MAI talk page.Academic38 (talk) 17:35, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

Notability of Welsh swagman

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Welsh swagman, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. --ROGER TALK 09:18, 21 July 2007 (UTC)

License tagging for Image:Street2218e.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Street2218e.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 07:09, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

OK--just a slip. Attribution tag now affixed, as below. -- Aeronian 05:13, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

Dylan: Llareggub photo

[edit]

I think your judgment is right - my Cpt Cat photo at top in preference to boat - but do you object to my Llareggub photo being in there somewhere? Tony in Devon 20:22, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

Hi, Tony. Vanity aside I can see no relevance or point at all in adding that pic to Under Milk Wood. Slightly more relevant might be the article on Llareggub--give that one a go if you wish. However, I've already given notice on the discussion page that the article seems misplaced and largely duplicates material in Under Milk Wood. Cheers, Aeronian 01:48, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
