David Murray Smith (1 July 1865 - 29 May 1952) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]

His father was David Murray Smith [Snr], an artist, author and journalist. (poss died 1879 in England[5][6][7][8])

His mother was Sarah Shiells (born c. 1834). David and Sarah married on 29 September 1864 in Edinburgh.[9]

David Murray Smith was born on 1 July 1865 in Edinburgh.[10]

He married Kate Hogg (born c. 1872), daughter of Robert Thomas Hogg, merchant. They married on 12 September 1906 in All Souls parish in Hampstead, London.[11]

He died on 29 May 1952 at home The Bield, Sutton Place in Abinger Hammer, near Dorking, Surrey, England.[12]
