Alexander Cormack Smith (17 April 1875 - 10 April 1922) was a Scottish painter and linen merchant.[1][2]
Life
[edit]His father was David Smith (born c. 1836), a linen merchant from Kenmore in Perthshire.
His mother was Jane Cormack (born c. 1842) from Bower in Caithness, the daughter of A. Cormack from Brabster. David and Jane married at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church in Bayswater, London on 21 November 1872.[3]
Alexander Cormack Smith was born at on 17 April 1875 at 5 Charlotte Place in Perth.[4]
He married Lizzie Bisset Macpherson (c. 1889 - 11 June 1959). They married on 24 July 1909 in Forfar.

[edit]He died on 10 April 1922 in Perth.[5] His usual address was Claremont, Dupplin Terrace in Perth.
The value of his estate was given as £1602, 17 shillings and 3 pence.
