Ann Andrews (c. 1811 - 3 June 1844) was a Scottish painter.[1]
Life

Her father was the artist David Robert Andrews (born c. 1785) from England. He moved to Edinburgh then Dundee to become an art teacher at the Dundee seminary.
Her mother was Ann Edwards from Scotland.
Ann Andrews was born c. 1811 in Edinburgh.
She married George Scott Bremner (born 8 July 1808) from Edinburgh,[2] who worked in the Office of Stamps and Taxes. They married on 26 April 1838 at 8 Hope Street, Edinburgh.[3]
Art
[edit]She was known as a miniaturist.
Death
[edit]She died on 3 June 1844 at 59 Lauriston Place in Edinburgh. The cemetery register states 'decline'. Her brother David Angelo Andrews cause of death was also 'decline' probably indicating a genetic cause.[4]
She was buried in St. Cuthbert's graveyard on 8 June 1844.[5]
