Rule of Thumb

1. I currently have no intention to write about anything other than battles of the American Civil War.
2. I avoid philosophy, character judgments, and speculation in my writing; these things are better suited for biographies.
3. Modern politics may be entwined with history, but history can only be ensnared by modern politics. They don't jive.
4. As I am lacking formal education or experience in writing history or writing at all, helpful criticism is as gold and myrrh.
