- Secondary sources should be the main basis for a biography on Wikipedia.
If you're working on a topic related to medicine or psychology, ensure that your sources follow these special guidelines.
If you're creating a new article, consider the following:
- Ensure that your topic meets Wikipedia's notability guidelines.
- In order for a topic to meet the notability requirement, you must be able to identify 2-3 sources that are reliable, verifiable, and independent of the subject you're writing about.
- Finding sufficient sources to establish notability can be especially hard when writing about people or organizations.
- Sources that are not independent of the subject might be useful additions, but don't count towards the notability requirement.
- Wikipedia has developed special guidelines for writing about living persons. Please follow these carefully.
- Wikipedia has a series of guidelines for writing about different categories of people, such as academics and artists. If you're trying to create a new entry about a living person, please look at these carefully.

- This website provides a physical description of the species and provides information on the classification of the species, along with other helpful facts about the species.
- I plan to use this website to help create the "Physical Description" section and the "Classification" section for this species.
Catalogue of Life Checklist ^[2]
- This catalogue is a dataset that provides information on where these species have been sited around the world. This dataset makes the geographical range of this species easy to follow and conclude heavier abundance throughout an area.
- This dataset provides information on current sightings and could be relevant when trying to expand upon the geographical regions mentioned in the earlier paper. I plan to use this information in the “Geographical Distribution” section also.
Mbimbi et al. 2021 ^[3]
- This paper talks about the various species within Family Siluriformes and discusses the range of where each genus has been found.
- I feel like this information could be used when discussing the geographical range of the species. This paper does a great job at naming certain lakes of where this species can be found. I plan to use the information within this paper to craft the “Geographical Distribution” section.

- This paper discusses natural history about the species, and it characterizes the freshwater ecosystems where this species is found.
- The information from this paper will be useful when describing what specific habitats this species can be found in. I plan to use this information when writing about the “Habitat” this species occupies.

- This website provides information on how this species responds to Aquarium life. This database provides an outline on their specific care, optimum temperature regime and reproduction.
- This information will be useful when writing about the "Reproduction" section and their "Aquarium lifestyle" section.
