This is Iqbal Soofi (Arabic: اقبال صوفي, Kannada: ಇಕ್ಬಾಲ್ ಸೂಫಿ), and my penname for wikipedia is abushahin. Born in Banakal of Chickmagalur district of Karnataka, a south Indian state. My native place is a beautiful village with lush green paddy fields on the northern bank of river Hemavati (Kannada: ಹೇಮಾವತಿ). I can speak Kannada, Tulu, Beary bashe, Malayalam, English, Hindi, Urdu and spoken Arabic. I can understand Tamil and Konkani as well. I joined Wikipedia family on 1st of August 2006.
I have attempted to translate first few chapters from the Glorious Qur'an into Kannada language. Just completed chapters Al-Fatihah, Al-Baqarah, Ali Imran, An-Nisaa, Al-Maaidah and Al-An'aam. Presently chapter Al-A'raf is being translated. Other than that, all 37 Surahs of Amma Juz (30th Juz) is also translated and published. Please check it out in the External Link section below.
