Associate Professor Abdullah Bappah Ahmed's Biography

Associate Professor Abdullah Bappah Ahmed is presently a Commissioner Nominee in Gombe State about to be screened comes Tuesday 5th September, 2023. He was previously a Project Coordinator of Better Education Service Delivery For All (BESDA) Gombe appointed by His Excellency, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya in 2019 following his obvious contributions to the cause.

He is an outstanding educator, an Associate Professor in Numerical Physics, a Senior Lecturer in Gombe State University Physics Department, a Great and Famous Politician and a Compassionate Philanthropist.

Prof. Garkuwa was born and raised in Shamaki Quarters of Gombe Town on the 18th September, 1983. He attended Federal College of Education (T) Staff School for his Primary education and then went to Government Science and Secondary School (GSSS) Gombe for his Secondary education.

He graduated from the University of Abuja, Gwagwalada where he obtained a BSc in Numerical Physics. While he was in Gwagwalada, he was also an Amir of the Muslim Students Society of Nigeria (MSSN).

He got an MSc in Numerical Physics from the Peoples' Friendship University Moscow, Russia in 2014. He later bagged a PhD in Numerical Physics from the Peoples' Friendship University, Russia.

Additionally, he is a group leader of the Condensed Matter Group, in Peoples' Friendship University of Russia. He is also a member of the Institute of Physics (IOP), United Kingdom and a Reviewer in MiPh journal, Moscow.

Prof. Garkuwa has been awarded with an Academic Title of an Associate Professor by the Gombe State University.

He sought for House of Assembly Membership of Gombe North in 2011 under the Umbrella of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

He exemplifies himself in multiple publications of dissertation and student theses, journal articles, books, encyclopedia, conference proceedings, research reports amongst numerous others.

He steers partly in the transition committee of His Excellency, Governor Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya in 2023.

Prof. Garkuwa embodies the creeds and values of his heritage.

Prof. Garkuwa has immortalised his late father, Alh. Bappa Ahmed (Garkuwan Gombe) through his philosophy and vast political reach.
