ADuncan - Born in Aberdeen, Scotland.

After the battle of Culloden my family was split into 2 sections of the original clan. My direct clan is the famous Duncan clan, however I am related to other clans through bloodline.

I have always been patriotic as patriotism is passed down my family line. I enjoy teaching Scots about there heritage and culture including the history of my people and our struggles against slavery, oppression and imperial ruling.

My family migrated from the north 300 years ago into the capital city Edinburgh, however have since migrated across the world. Members can be found in America, Canada, Cyprus, England, Isle of Man and Ireland.

Teaching correct history is a vital part of my own life as many history's have been twisted and corrupted to fit modern believe.

Example: The English invaded Scotland taking woman as prisoners, raping and killing and taking Scots men as slaves. After the Jacobite rebellion, English and British troops went on the (Great Tartan Hunt) killing any Scots man who wore tartan and spoke the native language Gaelic. Since then our history can only be found in old library's however those parts of history's are no longer taught to the Scots as we are in a political union with England.

I have noticed many perversions of actual history on Wikipedia also. My aim is to rectify those issues and change history back to the correct words that should be used.

Example 2: The Scots came from Ireland (FALSE) The Scots came from Scotia, modern Ireland (Correct).

Scotia means Land of the Gael (FALSE). Scotia means Scotland (Correct).

Changing terminology to suit the feelings of modern people is corruption of facts. An encyclopaedia should be facts.

So my aim is to correct pages that talk about British history and use the correct terminology including with facts on the heritage of the country as this is an encyclopaedia, not a page for people to just to hide facts because there upsetting.

Example:

Slavery in Africa vs White slavery on Wikipedia, look at the difference in page layouts. Racial Bias.

So, if there is a page that talks about say a country, and the page explains the creation of that country then the information must be full and accurate. Misleading posts to alter the history is not accepted (personal bias).
