On assuming the office on 13 June 2024 in Secretarite at Amaravati, the Chief Minister Naidu signed on 5 files to take decisions on, which include Mega District Selection Committee notification for the recruitment of 16,347 teachers, withdrawal of the AP Land Titling Act, increasing the social security pension, conducting skill census, and reviving Anna Canteen.[6][7] The government restored the name of N. T. Rama Rao to the social security pension scheme to name it "NTR Bharosa Pension Scheme". The pension of senior citizens and widows was increased to Rs4000 from Rs3000, for people with disabilities from Rs3000 to Rs6000, people with chronic diseases from Rs5000 to Rs10,000, and hand loom workers, toddy tappers, fishermen, transgenders and various artistes would receive a pension of Rs4,000 per month and people with chronic diseases and complete disability from Rs5000 to Rs10,000.[8]
The Government of India announced to facilitate Rs 15,000 crore to support the construction of the state capital Amaravati through multilateral development agencies in the current financial year and additional amounts in future years.[9]
