Hello!

Although my username is 2Dee25, I would like you to know that my name is Darrell David (two D's) Heaton.

Those, these and the following words are my first Wiki contributions. They will eventually move to an 'about me' page(?) when I learn more about what I am doing.

I was born on January 25, 1958 at around the noon hour, local time, in St Catharines, Ontario, Canada.

I was an infant when my family moved to Waterloo, Ontario. It was here that I was educated (a mathematics savant and history buff) and became an adult (not with out help and blind luck). I was never shy growing up and the good out weighed out the bad. I met and got to know thousands of people during those years, many became friends including a half dozen life long confederates.

Both my parents were born in Toronto, Canada and that is where I went to make a name for myself in 1987. After several years running with the financial wolves through the bull and bear markets on Bay Street, my boy scout character led me to the Ontario Provincial Public Service.

For thirty plus years, in several ministries, I did good work delivering government sponsored social justice and financial incentive programs.

I helped thousands of landlord and tenant relationships understand their rights and wrongs and put it writing when needed by a court of law.

Tens of thousands people and many tens of millions of dollars came together in education bursary and affordable housing programs I administered.

I added several life long confederates to my list along the way and I retired in 2020.

It is also in Toronto that I was married in 1990. It is here where we made a home at several addresses before settling in the Davisville Village neighborhood. We began adopting dogs along the way (three and counting) and the birth of a daughter in 1999 completed our household.

I have a parent, two siblings and their families, and the aforementioned wife and daughter who are still playing an important part of my life. My father, brother and our first two adopted dogs have already passed away, however they will never be forgotten (warts and all).
